Endocrinologist

Sofia Antoniou

SofiaAntoniou-_03

Dr Sofia Antoniou (MD, PhD) is Endocrinologist and Diabetologist, specializing in diabetes mellitus and its complications, osteoporosis, rare metabolic conditions, thyroid disorders, dysfunction of pituitary and adrenal glands as well as disorders of male / female reproductive system.

Hormones affect everything: the blood sugar, the mood, metabolism, sleep, temperature, fertility, growth and so much more. Hormone disorders might be very common – such as thyroid problems and osteoporosis – or very rare, such as Cushing syndrome. The diagnosis and treatment of endocrine disorders might be challenging at times, but I love working closely with my patients with compassion and patience to solve the riddle.
