The Chief Operating Officer is the key liaison with the General Healthcare system. Through continuous monitoring, analysis, and improvement of practices, the team seeks to enhance the optimization of the financial outcomes which has a key role for the present and future of the organisation.

    5. HR, Personnel & Education Administration

The Human Resources (HR) department of the hospital play a crucial role in nurturing and empowering the workforce, fostering a culture of excellence, compassion, and professional development. Led by HR administrators, this dedicated team manages recruitment, induction, training, and performance evaluation processes. They oversee employee relations, and compliance with labour laws and regulations, prioritizing the well-being and satisfaction of staff members. Additionally, the HR department coordinates educational programs of students, workshops, and continuing education opportunities to enhance the staff’s skills, promote career advancement, and uphold the highest standards of patient care.

    6. Operation, Building & Maintenance

The operational facilities and maintenance management of the hospital are the pillars of its infrastructure, ensuring a safe, functional, and hygienic environment. The dedicated team of professionals oversee the upkeep and efficient operation of all physical assets, including buildings, equipment, and utilities. From preventive maintenance schedules to emergency repairs, they work tirelessly to minimize downtime and maximize the reliability of critical systems. Additionally, they manage facility expansions, renovations, and compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.

  1. Integrated Management System (IMS)

The Integrated Management System (IMS) of the hospital serves as the backbone of organizational efficiency, cohesion, and quality improvement initiatives. It encompasses a comprehensive framework that integrates various management systems, including quality management, environmental management, and health and safety management, into a unified approach. Led by a team of professionals and supported by dedicated staff members from each department, the IMS team ensures alignment with international standards and regulatory requirements while promoting continuous improvement across all facets of the hospital operations. Through regular audits, assessments, and evaluations, the IMS continuously evolves to enhance healthcare landscapes, advancing the hospital’s mission of providing exceptional, patient-centred care to its community.

    a. Accounting and Finance

The Accounting and Finance Department is essential for the financial stability and sustainability of the hospital. The overview of the financial results is indispensable for hospital’s management in order to make data-driven strategic decisions as well as to reduce financial risks. Through accurate planning and financial forecasts, the vision of the hospital becomes reality. Led by a team of professionals, the Finance department ensures that the hospital keeps books and records in accordance with the applicable International Accounting Standards and the Cyprus Tax Legislation.

    b. Information Technology

As the IT Department of the German Medical Institute (GMI), we realize the importance of storing and exploiting the information we collect and process. We work tirelessly and with great care to provide the best possible access to the information to the medical departments, so that they can utilize it and carry out their work smoothly and quickly. At GMI, the protection of personal and medical data is of the utmost importance and each team member faithfully follows all the correct procedures to safeguard it.

In the health sector, mistakes are not allowed and the need for rapid utilization of information is imperative. With this in mind, we at GMI’s IT department strive to make the most of our state-of-the-art hardware and software having as a goal to make it easier for all our colleagues to do their work.
