Anesthesiologist
Anthoula Ntakoula
Dr. Ntakoula was born and raised in Heraklion. She graduated from the Medical School of University of Crete where she familiarised herself with Anaesthesiology for the first time in the context of the corresponding undergraduate course. She then worked at the Anaesthesiology Clinic in University General Hospital of Heraklion until the completion of the residency training programme. During these years she trained in the perioperative care of patients from all surgical specialties, as well as in the resuscitation and management of critically ill patients in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit. Notably she developed a special interest for paediatric surgical patients and consequently she trained in Paediatric Anaesthesia at the Anesthesiology Department in General Children’s Hospital of Athens P. & A. Kyriakou. In parallel with her clinical training, she was involved in resuscitation teaching as a certified ERC & ALSG instructor in numerous Basic and Advanced Life Support courses for both adults and children (BLS/ ALS, PLS/APLS). Also, she participated as instructor in anaesthetic critical incident simulation courses and basic airway management workshops. She is holder of the European Diploma in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (EDAIC Part I & II).
