The GOC’s external radiotherapy department has two state-of-art LINACs, the Elekta VERSA HD and SYNERGY and a General Electric CT scanner.
Our department performs various modern therapy treatment techniques such as three-dimensional Conformal Radiotherapy (3DCRT), Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT), and Stereotactic Radiation Therapy (ST). Image guidance (Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) is used on a daily basis to improve the precision and accuracy of treatment delivery.

Electa Versa HD Linear Accelerator

The External Radiotherapy Unit is equipped with two state-of-the-art linear accelerators (LINACs)—the Elekta Versa HD and Synergy—as well as a General Electric CT scanner. Our department employs a range of advanced treatment techniques, including Three-Dimensional Conformal Radiotherapy (3DCRT), Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT), and Stereotactic Radiation Therapy (SRT). We utilize Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) daily to enhance the precision and accuracy of our treatmentsThe Electa Versa HD Linear Accelerator equipped with Hexapod system, which enhances precision in radiation therapy by enabling six degrees of freedom in patient positioning and alignment in real-time.
