The orthopedic team in the German Medical Institute stays committed in research and medical education, which are essential prerequisites in providing the best orthopaedic care.

New and improved treatment options don't happen on their own. In order for new services to reach the public, extensive clinical trials and research need to confirm their safety and effectiveness. Working collaboratively with academic colleagues, industry and the wider public and private health sector, we aim to lead and conduct high-quality research across the breadth of musculoskeletal conditions in both trauma as well as elective orthopaedics.

We actively pursue staying on top of new procedures and treatments and we are actively involved in all steps of bringing new medical options to patients.

We believe that in order for the outcomes of our patients to improve, we have to constantly look for better ways to prevent and treat their injuries or conditions.

Medical Staff

A fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon is a doctor who has completed a minimum of 12 years of medical education and has completed additional years of specialty training in a specific field of orthopedic surgery in a teaching hospital.

There are fellowships in all areas of orthopaedics, including knee, hip, foot and ankle etc. It is becoming common practise that orthopedic surgeons focus on a specific field of orthopedics and pursue sub-specialisation in a specific area of the body.

There are several medical specialities and numerous allied medical professionals that are somehow allowed to treat musculoskeletal conditions. Among them there are significant differences in their background education, training, certification and licensing. An orthopedic surgeon undergoes vigorous medical training for over 12 years and is able to treat the whole range of musculoskeletal pathologies and of different severity, from a minor inflammation to a complex condition that requires surgery.

For your initial consultation, you will need to bring a referral letter from your physician if necessary.

Here is check list for your initial consultation

Age is hardly a problem for surgery as long as you are in reasonable health and have the desire to continue to live an active, independent and mobile life. The quality of life of our patients is of great importance to us.
