Guido Frassetto

Dr Guido Frassetto is a specialist Cardiac Surgeon who joined GMI cardiac team in April 2022. He worked in recognised international cardiac centres amongst Italy, The Netherlands, and United Kingdom.

Born in Italy, graduated as Doctor in Medicine at University of Studies of Sassari, he then started his residency in Cardiovascular Surgery at University Hospital Maggiore of Parma in 2003. In 2007, he obtained a fellowship in The Netherlands at the Leiden Universitair Medish Centrum with a focused training on minimally invasive techniques and heart failure surgery. He completed his training in 2008 when he achieved the title of Specialist in Cardiac Surgery with a score of 50/50 with Honors. He started his professional career at St.Georges University Hospital in London in 2009. Subsequently he worked in Brighton and Sussex University Hospital and also at Hull and East Yorkshire University Hospital. He has a vast experience of over 18 years working in Cardiac Surgery and Cardiac Intensive Care.
