Medical Oncologist
Onoufrios Tsavaris
He is a graduate of the Medical School of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens (to which he was admitted after national examinations and graduated with a general degree: Very Good) and subsequently obtained a Master’s Degree in “Human Neoplastic Disease: Modern Clinical-Pathogenetic Approach and Research” also from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with a grade of “Excellent”. He completed his residency in Medical Oncology at the University 2nd Educational Internal Medicine Department of General Hospital Attiko (Athens-Greece) in 2018. Additionally, he has successfully passed the European Society of Oncology exams in 2019.
Dr.Tsavaris is a regular member of the European and Greek Oncological Society with main interests in respiratory, head and neck, breast and genitourinary malignancies
After the completion of his studies, he worked as a specialist in Medical Oncology, initially at the University 2nd Educational Internal Medicine Department at the General Hospital "Attiko" and subsequently at the Chemotherapy Department the General Hospital of Rhodes-Dodecanese (10/2019-10/2020) and at the Medical Oncology Department of the General Hospital "Venizelio" in Heraklion, Crete (10/2020- 10/2021). From 11/2021 to 5/2022 he was a Medical Officer at the Oncology Department of the General Hospital of Limassol. In May 2022 he joined the medical staff of the German Oncology Center.
5/2008-5/2009. One year military service as a non-specialist doctor at 549 TE Symi/Dodecanese and afterwards at Athens ASDEN
9/2009-5/2011: Medical assistant at the Oncology Department of the Pathological Physiology Department of the “Laiko” University Hospital in Athens, Greece.
11/2011-07/2015. Resident at the 1rst Internal Medicine Department of the Sismanoglio General Hospital, in Athens Greece
7/2015-8/2015: Resident in Medical Oncology at the University Hospital of Larissa, Thessaly
10/2015-09/2018: Residence in Medical Oncology at the 2nd Educational Internal Medicine Department of the General Hospital "Attiko" in Athens, Greece
2/2019: Acquisition of the title of the Specialist in Medical Oncology

His CV is complemented by his research and writing work (5 publications in international journals, 12 papers in international conferences, dozens of papers in Panhellenic conferences, speeches at oncology conferences) but also by his educational work (participation in the educational program of residents and undergraduate students of the Athens University 2nd Educational Internal Medicine Department at General Hospital “Attiko” , teaching courses of health interest - paediatrics, surgery, first aid, neurology - in various public educational training institutes - IEC)
