Petros Tsafrakidis
Dr Tsafrakidis is a Consultant Urologist with an interest in innovative technologies on minimally invasive prostate surgery (Urolift, Rezum, Green Light LASER prostatectomy), penile and urethral reconstruction surgery, and prostate cancer diagnostics. He and his colleagues have set up the Urolift and Rezum service for benign prostate enlargement surgery in Scotland (BBC Scotland interview link: https://www.nhsfife.org/news-updates/latest-news/2017/12/bbc-scotland-visits-qmh/) as well the regional perineal prostate biopsy and Optilume technology Services in NHS Fife for the treatment of urethral strictures. He has a keen interest in simulation training and undergraduate medical teaching. He is an invited speaker in international congresses, meetings and webinars as well as an industry contracted proctor and a reviewer for innovative technologies for the European Commission and the National Institution of Clinical Excellence in Britain.

- Performing routine and major Penile / Urethral Reconstruction as well as Core Urology procedures twice weekly at Victoria and Queen Margaret Hospitals (Green light prostatectomy, Urolift Service lead, Prostate template biopsies, General urology)
- Consultant Urologist providing and supervising the services of andrology and urethral reconstruction surgery. Also covering a general urology one stop outpatient clinics three times per week (Victoria and Queen Margaret Hospitals).
