Polychronis Tasioudis
Dr Polychronis Tasioudis is a consultant Pulmonologist – Intensivist with an interest in the field of respiratory mechanics, Non-Invasive mechanical ventilation and infections in the critically ill patient.
- Graduated from Plovdiv Medical Academy - Bulgaria in 1996
- Specialization in Pulmonology at the Pulmonology Clinic of Alexandroupolis Hospital - Democritus University of Thrace from (2000 - 2002) and subsequently at the "Sotiria" Chest Diseases Hospital - Athens from (2002-2005)
- Subspecialization in Intensive Care at the Intensive Care Unit of the Respiratory Failure Center of the Athens Chest Disease Hospital "Sotiria" (2007-2009)
- Hospital of Didymoteicho as a specialist Pulmonologist (2006)
- General Hospital of Xanthi as a specialist consultant doctor, in the ICU of the Hospital (2009 - 2011)
- Consultant doctor - ICU of Thessaloniki General Hospital "G. G. Gennimatas" from 2011 to 2020
- From 18/3/20, due to the COVID19 pandemic, assignment to the General Hospital AHEPA, which was the reference hospital for COVID19 cases in Northern Greece, having the supervision of the field of the application of Non-Invasive Mechanical Ventilation with CPAP, BiPAP, and especially High flow oxygen therapy on patients with Respiratory failure.
- From 27/6/22 returned to Gennimatas General Hospital until 20/12/2023.
- Co – Author 18 publications in International and Greek journals
- 12 chapters in Greek Critical care and Pulmonology books
- Poster presentations : 20 in International and 66 in Greek Conferences
