Head of Dermatology

Theodoulos Drousiotis

Theodoulos Drousiotis _02

The skin is the largest organ of the body. It can therefore be affected by a large number of conditions, from minor blemishes to different types of skin cancer. Any new skin finding can consequently be daunting and stressful for a patient.

It is therefore always my pleasure to consult patients, explain their diagnosis and go through treatment options and thus change patients from uncertain to reassured and from worried to confident.

Furthermore, as a dermatologist with a special interest in skin cancer diagnosis and its management, I strive to promote awareness about the importance of regular skin checks and therefore the early diagnosis of suspicious lesions. Skin cancer can be completely cured when caught and treated early. Our department offers patients a thorough skin assessment using cutting edge technology tools for accurate and early diagnosis and provides treatments through a multi-disciplinary approach at international standards.

Dr Drousiotis is a Consultant Dermatologist-Venereologist, specialising in skin cancer and procedural dermatology. Dr Drousiotis was born and raised in Limassol, Cyprus. His undergraduate studies include a bachelor’s in Pharmacology BSc (hons) in the UK followed by medical studies that led to the title of Doctor of Medicine and Surgery (MD) at the University of Malta. His postgraduate hospital training started in Glasgow and continued in London, where he trained in departments of general medicine and general surgery for three years. Following these, he moved to Tel-Aviv, Israel where he completed his specialist training in Dermatology and Venereology at the Chaim Sheba Tel-Hashomer hospital, the biggest tertiary centre in Israel. After obtaining European accreditation through board specialty examinations, he was selected as a senior skin cancer fellow at the world renown St John’s institute of Dermatology (Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals - King’s College London). His role there consisted of extensive clinical work in the department of skin cancer (screening for moles and suspicious lesions, melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer as well as skin surgery). He also contributed in the writing of local guidelines for the management of advanced skin cancer and taught the Dermatology Masters students at King’s college London on the topic.

Furthermore, Dr Drousiotis has a special interest in advanced aesthetic treatments which he developed in the private sector in London, UK.

He is fluent in Greek, English and Hebrew.
