Equipment
The German Medical Institute is outfitted with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, offering top quality services in elective and emergency surgery.
Minimal Access Surgery is preferred as the best treatment option for most cases, always using the most up-to-date technology available. Laparoscopy or key-hole surgery (and soon robotic surgery) are commonly used techniques for Minimal Access surgery.
The newest laparoscopy towers with 3D and 4K optics, along with the latest electrosurgical and energy devices, are used. Fluoroscopic surgery using ICG makes sentinel lymph node biopsies possible, eliminating the need for extensive surgical resections and minimising complications.
Our new hybrid operating theatre is equipped with advanced imaging technology which enables minimally invasive surgery with the simultaneous use of diagnostic aids.

Minimal access surgery, also known as minimally invasive surgery, is preferred for most cases, always using the most up-to-date technology available. Laparoscopy or key-hole surgery (and soon robotic surgery) is the standard.
Most of these operations can be performed as day-surgery, without patients needing to stay overnight in the hospital.
