Our team is led by experienced radiologists who possess extensive expertise, covering the entire spectrum of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology. Our imaging examination protocols undergo continuous evaluation by our radiologists to ensure alignment with the latest international standards. The central tenet of our department’s philosophy is patient-centric. Consequently, each examination is monitored in real-time by a dedicated physician, with the singular aim of providing the most optimal and personalised approach for every patient.

Furthermore, our department is staffed with a profoundly experienced team of physicians specialising in interventional radiology. Their remarkable expertise is exemplified by our exclusive status as the only facility in Cyprus with the capacity to employ pioneering techniques for addressing a wide spectrum of medical conditions, harnessing the full range of available imaging modalities, including Magnetic Resonance Imaging. This synergy significantly strengthens our capacity to provide an exceptionally personalised approach to treatment, with an unwavering emphasis on addressing each patient’s unique requirements.

The department is supported by a group of Medical Physicists and Biomedical Physicists. This marks us as the only medical centre in Cyprus with such a specialised and expansive team, with Leonidas Georgiou Head Medical Physicist – Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, Natalie Panayiotou and Antonis Christofi. This team takes on the responsibility for the adherence of Radiation Protection regulations for both medical personnel and examinees. Their role encompasses the development of imaging protocols aimed at optimising the quality of diagnostic procedures while minimising ionising radiation exposure. Furthermore, they engage in research and the implementation of innovative diagnostic techniques, in close collaboration with radiologists. Equally significant is their contribution to staff training in matters pertaining to medical imaging.

The team is complemented by:  

• Competent radiographers, tasked with the operation and handling of medical equipment, precise execution of diagnostic examination, and management of examinees.
• Nursing personnel providing essential support for the department during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Administrative staff members, fulfilling the crucial role of being the primary interface between the department and examinees, specialised in effective planning, and educated comprehensively so they can offer any necessary information related to the examinations we offer.
